Raising Awareness Since 2011
About WeCare DSN
Our Story
Active since 2002
Since our inception, we have been raising awareness about deafness, and as a result, all other deaf organisations have benefited.
Founded in 2011 by parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children, WeCare Deaf Support Network began as a grassroots parent support group. Under the leadership of Qushiba La Fleur, mother of a deaf son, we formally registered as an independent organization in September 2013 and achieved NPO status in June 2019.
Our Impact
Making History Is What We Do
Our slogan is "Making History Is What We Do" as most of our events and initiatives are first time programs or projects to benefit parents and deaf and hard of hearing people in TT and the wider Caribbean.
Today, we support a growing number of parents of deaf and hard-of-hearing children, and we continue to grow. As the first parent-centered organization of our kind, we're dedicated to educating and empowering parents of deaf and hard-of-hearing children, deaf parents, and the broader deaf community through:
